| Does anyone have a yorkie that hates wearing clothes? [F][/FOHi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone's baby hates wearing clothes...?? I've tried with both of my babies and they will drag themselves on the floor and try every possible way to take off whatever i put on them. They are now close to 2 and 3 years old and i gave up long time ago but I see so many pictures of yorkies with clothes and bows that i wonder what did i do wrong... Mine will not even leave a bow on for more than 2 seconds. NT]

| mine doesn't mind clothes, but I babysat my friends Maltese for a week a few months ago. Her little girl was only 6 months old then & just under two pounds but you wouldn't believe the growls when you tried to dress her. I never actually got anything on her, her little self actually scared me! My friend had packed several outfits for her so I was confused. When she got home, she said she had never been able to dress her either & had packed them with hopes that I would be successful. Maybe its just an individual personality thing?? |

| It is hit or miss with macy. Most of the time she hates it but once i get it on her she is okay with for a while lol. Now as for bows, forget it she hates them with a passion. |

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | I think if you want them to wear clothes you have to start them out right when there a pup! When I first put a tee on Lillie she tried to bite at it, but I'm water bottle training her and I squirt at her and she stopped, she knows she cant do that and so far I have not had to squirt her anymore. She hates the water so this training works great for her. I would try a light tee shirt, something not to heavy. |

| Mine too I thought Little Bit was going to have a stroke over a collar or harness. She started shaking all over & wouldn't move with the harness. Since she is so tiny, I thought maybe a collar would be lighter and she started biting and fighting. I've never been able to get a bow on her either. I know it is ridiculous that I can't handle a two pound puppy but I'm afraid I will hurt her if I try to hold her too tight. I'm not even worried about the clothes but she does need to wear a harness so I can take her out on a leash & a bow to keep the hair out of her eyes. Good luck on yours! Donna |

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | I just looked at Lillies Harness and it's Lil Pals, not paws. here is a site I found on them, but you can get them at a petstore. http://www.dog.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=1...ccode=SHOPPING |

| Thanks I will have to try one of those. I bought one of the soft suede harnesses that fasten with velcro because that is what my husband liked and it is a little too wide for her comfort. I have also tried a very lightweight cat collar thinking it would do better but she wasn't having any of that either. I think she is just throwing a fit but she may be scared. I appreciate your help. |

| I started Baby wearing clothes at about 2yrs and she took to it pretty good!! I did start out with light tees , but in the winter I have always had her in hoodies. All the bottom portion of the house is tile and it gets cold for her. Lots of snuggle balls everywhere! |

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Bows & Clothes ;) Stedman will wear clothes all day long...no problem. But bows? Forget it! I have TONS of bows for him (boy ones of course ) but he REFUSES. Just like someone else said, he won't even keep them in his hair for 2 seconds! He will roll around and scoot his head across the floor or use his paw and scratch at it until it eventually falls out so we have just given up on the bows. He does have bangs though, which are JUST as cute!! So he doesn't really need the bows...I love his bangs sooo much!! But clothes he does not have a problem with at all, thank goodness lol

BUTTTTT~...taking it off is a WHOLE other story. he won't let me take anything off of him...not even his harness. he goes CRAZY and i can barely contain him! it seems he doesnt like things going over his head in that direction...? |

| Sissy really likes her clothes. She actually prances around in them. The first thing I bought her was a coat because it was November when she came home. I quickly found out that anything with sleeves bugs her BIG time and she seems to find a way to get her legs either stuck in the sleeve or out of them. As long as what she has on is sleeveless she likes it. Since I mostly dress her in harnesses or harness dresses when she go out, she always things putting something on means we're going in the car and she loves that (now). I put a pony tail in daily (now getting her used to pig tails), but we only do bows when we go out cause she hates those!!!

| Teddy and Tiffanie are the same with bows...NO WAY...They keep them in for a few but take each others out or scoot on the floor and when they get up look like the put their paws in a light socket! LOL! As far as clothes...Well I haven't really tried those..I do put sweaters on them to go out in the winter and they don't mind that...I just got Teddy as cute little shirt @ Walmart...It's so precious I went ahead and got a dress too for a girl...But it won't fit Tiffanies she's to big! Now when Tiffanie is in heat I buy a size 2 baby diapers for her and she keeps those on good but then the 2nd week Teddy takes them off so it's crate time for her. I now have Sir. Galahad who I'm trying to get use to bows but once again the older ones takes them out!
