| Puppy acting funny My 6-month-old Yorkie had a very close encounter last night that really freaked me out! I found her choking on a piece of food she took from the other dog! I had to give her the hiemlic (I have no idea how you spell it) and reach in her mouth and pull out the food. She acted fine for the rest of the night and this morning, but when I got home from work, I noticed she was acting more mellow than usual, ears back, head low. I'm wondering if her choking was so traumatic that it effected her the next day (I had the same thing happen to the other dog I have) or if maybe her sugar was low b/c after I gave her some of her sugar supplement, she got livelier. It also doesn't help that her appetite decreased alot lately....although she's still as active as ever. Can anyone give me advice or has had this happen to their puppy? I think I'm gonna take her to the vet.... |

| The vet would be the best bet. And being an EMT I am SOOOOOOOO happy that the Heimlich Manuever worked for you! Great job! You should be so proud of yourself!
