| question about color of eye rim? Hi there, I have a question about the color of a Yorkies eye rim. I hear that they are typically supposed to be blk rim but I have seen like the "Chocolate Yorkies" with flesh tone rims and I know that is a default trait but what about a standard Yorkie with light eye rims? Is this a genetic default? Is this bad to have? Is it a problem to have it in pups gene pool? Just wondering. Thanks!

| I don't know a thing about it, but I did some looking and found the following. Hope it helps answer some of your questions. The last gene in the color inheritance package is for dark pigmentation for the eye-rims, the lips, a black nose, black toenails and black pads. http://dandugmore.com/spicecolor.html
