| New Puppy in the house. Please give me some advice and comfort with my problem. I introduced a new 12 week old puppy named Duncan into my house. My 10 month old puppy,Cody is so scared and submissive towards the new puppy to the point of turning his head downward, putting his tail between his legs and letting the new puppy,Duncan rule.It is so sad to see Cody cower down so badly. I do not want to scold the new puppy nor do I want to see the new puppy bully Cody. PLEASE HELP. I really do not know if I did the correct thing by getting a playmate/brother for Cody. Margaret |

| Duncan and Cody have both had some huge changes occur in their lives. They both need some time to figure it all out. What you are going through is perfectly normal. If at all possible, it is best to let the two little boys figure it all out on their own. The worst possible thing you could do would be to scold one in front of the other. You need to be sure that YOU are the established leader and then Duncan and Cody will take their cues from you. Both the dogs might be picking up on your stress -- so the best thing you can do is to relax a bit |

| It will take some time and patience but I think in the end they will become buddies. I think Cody just has his nose out of whack a little right now. Good luck.
