crazy yorkie My yorkie is 7 mths old, we started her off crate training her in a play pen, we attached a crib tent so that she could'nt climb out and it has been great from day one she has slept there, we have a towel on the floor, her toys food and bed is in there to use when she wants. She has NEVER had an accident in there which was amazing because I have had puppies in the past that in a big or small cage they would pop and pee all over themselves. A play pen to her is really huge but she is just so smart. Well up untill today we have only let her out of the play pen a couple hours a day when we could do restricted play so we did'nt have accidents she would come out about 4 diffrent times for an hour each, but her pen is in the living room so she always had attention. And then she spent 3-4 hours off and on outside to play and potty, she loves to go out and play with our great dane, who is an inside dog but we don't have to worry about her pottying on the floor no more shes almost 6 so shes been trained a long time.
Anyway lately we have let Hannah and our Dane spend sometime on our back porch to play and just see how her potty training skills are doing, she has spent a couple hours off and on the past 7 days out there and NO accidents none, she would hold it untill we let her outside. We were so impressed that today we decided she is going to start getting free rein of the house. We shut our bedroom door and put her toys and food in the living room, and so far so good , we are still following her a bit but not like we have in the past. She has been out free for 4 hours and no accidents she is outside pottying right now.
Anyway I say she is crazy because she puts her toys in her mouth and then paces around the house back and fourth, it looks like she is trying to find a place to lay and chew on her toys but she never lays down. Anybody else pup do this weird stuff. anybody know why??
She is also going tomorrow to get spayed so I am stressed about that. I hope she does okay and is not in much pain when she comes home! |
