| Who shaved my legs?!?! I made my sweetie look so funny - as a first time Yorkie owner, I did not realize how important brushing was until it was too late. The groomer said that she needed to be shaved, but I refused. I worked on her coat for a couple of weeks - very slowly with lot's of "No More Tangles" and a comb. It took some time but I got rid of all the mats deep inside her coat on her face and body, and her hair is now so fine and shiny. HOWEVER, the mats on her legs were beyond repair - I had to shave them. I felt bad at first but now I can not help but laugh when she runs by with her little chicken legs sticking out from under her "skirt". I did promise her that I would never let it happen again. I hope the hair on her legs grows back quickly. I just had to share. Here are some before and after pics. She looked so sad immediately after, but now she is back to her peppy self. Oh, had to throw in the shot with the basketball - it is playoff time GO SPURS GO!! |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | LOLOL She is SO CUTE ! She has a similar coat to my Chanel so KEEP Brushing - you did really good taking your time - you can keep the coat up by trying to brush EVERY day - under the arms - back of the neck and legs can be the first to matt..... she looks TOO CUTE ! but you may want to take her in and just get her a puppy cut ?....but you're right - it WILL grow back...and you get alot of laughs while it does. |

| Oh how sweet! Yea, they really do need to be brushed every day. I brush Princess twice a day because she runs around playing all day, and really needs it. Thanks for sharing the pictures, I'm sure her hair will grow back fast.

| Aw how cute. It will grow back out. Jewels had matts on her legs too. I thought the groomer was going to have to shave her but she got them all out.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali had her legs shaved for IV's and surgeries and it grows back pretty quick. Within 3 weeks it looks a lot better.

Thanks to all for the comments - we are brushing daily now, if not twice a day - the brush goes through Cali's hair much eaiser now. And a special thanks to Villette, it was your recommendation for "No More Tangles" that got us through the mats on her body. | |
