| For those who do summer cuts Hi all. This is my first summer with Daisy and i defintley am going to do a sumemr cut because she hates to be brushed. When you do the summer cut do you leave the top longer so you can put a bow in it or do you cut everything short? I'm not sure what to do as this is my first yorkie. Thanks |

| I cut Maddie's body short, but leave her legs, face and head and tail long. I like the full legs and face and with the shorter hair on her body, it's easier for her to wear clothes.

| Hi, We do not do summer cuts on Sweetie - she likes to be brushed. But if I was going to do a summer cut (my mother-in-law does her 2 yorkies) I would not cut her top knot short because it literally takes FOREVER for it to grow out. We got Sweetie 4 years ago and she had been cut short (a schnauzer cut!) and it was YEARS before her hair went up well. The hair between her eyes has been the slowest to grow out. Just a thought....... Good luck - the more you brush your baby the more they will get to liking it. Cyndi |

| Thanks! I'm going to cut her short and leave her hair longer for her bow (when she wants to keep it in). |

| Tucker just got a puppy cut yesterday. I love the way it looks. With his floppy ears, he does still look like a puppy! When I get home I'll have to take a picture. Tried yesterday but the batteries were dead in the camera.

| Here's the cut Boog used to get...his back, head, neck, ears, tail and face are short...he has a little eyebrow that curls over his eyes and a 'donut' around his muzzle...his legs, sides and chest are long and the hair on his muzzle was only 1/4 to 1/2 inch long. Since it was a combination of a couple cuts our groomer called it a 'Boogie' cut and she actually had other clients asking for it. He almost looked like a tiny Schnauzer but I don't think a Schnauzer can hold their ears up like that Yes, he was small except for those ears! I never could figure out if he was squinting in that picture or giving me a dirty look |

| We do about 1/2 inch all around for summer. He doesn't have a topknot and I keep his face short all year, so we take it even shorter in the summer. Here's his cute face in a pic I took today.

| I keep both sami & tilly in a summer cut! although tilly gets a different cut than sami, tilly gets the puppy cut and sami the Schnauzer cut with his legs left a little long.. keeping them both short is such a great advantage for them & me.. Last edited by jbarile; 04-05-2006 at 03:44 PM. |

| This is the length we keep Teddy at year round. He actually loves being brushed but since we live in AZ it's just easier.
