| Grooming questions Hello, I am hoping to do a lot of Sophia's grooming myself. She hates it so much and I don't want to put her through that with a stranger any more than I have too. So, from all the more knowledeable Yorkie owners...what gets trimmed and where and how much, etc. I know the backs of the ears get shaved and you cut the excess off the tips of them. I know to trim around the bum as well. What about the feet? And, am I missing anything else? I am using the Vellus products and love them. I am going to look into getting the Tail and Mane and also the mink oil. Any tips or advice on grooming are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

| I always play with mine before to wear him out a little. He is much more cooperative then. Trim around the feet and the pads. I trim by his little pp. Don't forget to pluck the hair from the ear. I put that off until I read here you should do it. Don't worry if you mess up-it grows back.

| grooming I just bought a DVD on ebay that is all about "Yorkie" grooming. It was made by a lady that has owned yorkies for years and I think she may be a breeder, can't remember. I'm going to watch it this morning and I'll let you know if it's worth the 33 dollars I paid for it As far as I know there isn't a video/dvd on grooming that is specificly geared for yorkies!

| I have decided as well that I am going to do most of Gracie's grooming on my own. I am not that experienced. Gracie was groomed from 8 weeks until now she goes every 3 weeks for the works...ear trimming, privates, feet, nails. I am doing the bathing myself first time this week and Gracie is 7 months lol I want to eventually doing her trimming as well but I am a little nervous about it. I was going to get those hair trimmers they have for women..I think it would be easier to work with....what does everyone think? Also her ears...does anyone know of a good site that might picture how to correctly trim the ears???

| Yorkie Grooming Video Sorry I didn't give a review of this DVD I bought on ebay yesterday. I had planned on watching it on my computer but I couldn't get it to play. I'm not electronicly inclined so I had to get hubby to put the DVD in our VCR this morning so I can watch it today. I have to take my pups to the vet this morning so it will probably be this afternoon before I post my opinion on the DVD. It's home made by a lady that says she has 13 years grooming experience and she uses three yorkies for her models. I can't wait to watch it! It actually says it's a DVD-R. I guess it will play in any VCR. Here is the link on ebay that tells about it in the mean time. I don't know this lady in any way and am not pushing her sales. I jsut bought it because I want to learn how to groom my dogs myself. Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW Just in case the link doesn't work, here is the ebay item number: Item number: 4371187481 I'll post again after I watch it
