| Microchipping I want to get Tino done but the vet said he is too small and to get it done when he gets neutured. Did anyone else do this? Or did you just get them done? |

| I got all my Yorkies microchipped when they were about 5 months old. The needle is pretty big, they use the same needle for all dogs - no matter what the breed.

| Rocky got microchipped when I got him neutered. The vet suggested because Rocky is only 4 pounds and the needle is a little big. |

| I got both Alfie and Lottie microchipped when they got neutered, as the vet said it would be best as they might jump about and would find it quite painful, but I do know that some groomers do it !

| All of mine were chipped when they were being neutered except one and he did yelp but soon moved on. The ideal situation is to do it when you neuter.

| Edie was chipped 5 years ago during her spay operation. Took her to the Humane society this week to get a license (we recently moved to Tucson from Maine) and they scanned her--worked like a charm! I did call the "Home Again" people to let them know my address and phone no. change. |

| Gracie already had her microchip when I picked her up from the breeder, at 14 weeks. What surprised me is what my vet is charging. My breeder told me the shots cost her around $7.00; the cost at the vet's?$40.00...Rediculous!!

| I have had 2lb. yorkies microchipped. If you already have a nuter appoint. then I would just wait and do it then. If you feel it is something that can't wait then I don't see why you couldn't get it done now. |

| needle looks pretty big. I know some vets do it but it's gotta hurt! ouch..... I always wait till they are much older. But I would certainly get it done. It's worth it. |
