Donating YT 30K Club Member | Kennel cough is fairly common in puppies. Cali had it for over 3 months when I got her, she gave it to my other dog who also had it for over 3 months. They had 3 rounds of antibiotics and it finally went away. It all depends soem dogs get over it a lot quicker. Just keep an eye on her to make sure it doesn't get worse. Good Luck

| Buddy is finishing up his 2nd round of Zithromax for kennel cough. The vets said it was quite common & there are difficult strains of it going around. It's good that she's active but do watch her. Buddy got pretty lethargic for a few days & it was scary. I felt so bad for him. Everyone here was very supportive. 2 things to watch for: hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) & pnemonia. I supplemented with NutriCal and kept him warm (I gave him a little blanket LOL). It took about 4 days to see improvement. It's hard to watch them have those coughing fits... Hope you're little furbaby gets better soon. |
