| Female dog across the hall I live in a apartment, and we just had a new couple move in across the hall. They have a female Jack russel, and now all that are dog does during the day is sit next to the door and pout. He must know that she's over there, or she must be in heat. Any thoughts? |

| I would just squirt your dog with water every time teh dog pouts at the door and say no. That will teach him that its not okay to do that. You could also if at all possible put up a gate to keep him a way from the door. It might help with the situation! |

| Thank your lucky stars he is not barking, scratching, chewing or trying in some otherway to get over to her! lol Its something new, something he can't get to, and something i'm sure he wants to check out. I'm sure he thinks that if he sits there long enough, the great door will open up and deliver unto him a ripe beautiful woman who wants nothing more than to climb into his fake sheep skin bed with him! But lets get real! Like most men, he will eventually figure out that all the waiting in the world won't make her magicly appear. You can be a good friend and try to take his mind off of the gal and busy him with other activities, or maybe set him up with another gal at the park? But all in van I'm sure... My money is on.... he'll give up. Lets hope she is fixed! And she does not come into heat! If he is not fixed and she really does come into heat.... you could end up replacing a door over it! Bake some brownies and introduce yourself to that new neighbor quick... and ask LOTS of questions... Good neighbors communicate!

| I would go over to meet them. Find out all about her furbaby, maybe even set up a play date. I bet he knows she's over there, and just wants to say hello. But if she is in heat, well, thats a different story. Good Luck to you!
