| Yorkies and new babies?? I was just wondering how yorkies react to new babies. My fiancee and I are planning to start a family as soon as we tie the knot and I was wondering how Nikko would react to a new baby in the house? He is mommy's boy and I know he will get jealous. How have your experiences been with your furbabies and new additions to the family?

| My daughter had a baby about 8 weeks ago. I have day care and my grandkids come to my day care when Tera brings the little boy (Lucas) our 4 dogs go nuts everyone wants to see him and when he cries they are all there waiting and trying to sniff and lick him. Mine have been exceptional with babies. I do think if I had one they would be the same noone would be jealous as long as they are still recieving the care and attention they were before the baby comes. My one female lost her pup about a month ago and she really keeps a good eye on the baby (Lucas) she will be right there by the crib when he is crying or fussing, and she will whine. |

| That is good to know. I will still make "mommy/Nikko time". I think maybe it just depends on how you handle the situation. As long as I keep making time for him I think he will be ok. Thanks for putting me at ease.

| While I was pregnant, I put a baby swing in the living room with a baby doll in it to get her use to it, I also held the baby doll alot. When Mia was born, I sent home a blanket for Gracie that had Mia's smell on it so she could get use to it. When I came home from the hospital I let Gracie check Mia out (well supervisied, of course!). From then on out they were buddies, until the day came that Mia learned how to crawl... Gracie is still not so sure about the mobile baby thing, I keep them seperated at the moment. Just make sure that you prepare him for the baby, bring him around babies if you can and set up all of the babies things early so that he has time to get use to them. Congratulations, don't forget to post pic's from your wedding!!!!

| My late Yorkie always loved the babies. Just make sure they still get plenty of your time. |

| We personally do not have any babies. But when my brother would bring his daughter over Kobe was extremely jealous. He wants nothing to do with babies. He wants the attention instead. |
