| Help! How Do I Convince Him?? My boyfriend has two pomeranians from a previous relationship and when we started dating I had been looking for a Yorkie for the six months before we met. So it was no surprise to him that I called him and told him I had found my baby Jackson. Now we're living together .. with our three dogs .. and I'm really wanting a little female Yorkie... He's not exactly agreeing with me. Any ideas how I can convince him? Thanks so much!

| I AGREE WITH tXshopper73, but if your not the type of person to go against his wishes, work out a deal with him. Give him something that he has wanted that you haven't in exchange for your pup. Also let him know that you will take full responsibility for your new Yorkie. If that doesn't work. Beg, Beg, Beg. That always works for me.

| Yup, that's my way of dealing with it. Unless you have an ordinance limiting the number of dogs that you can have. But those ordinances aren't very fair. Two little dogs does not equal 2 big dogs. Maybe the ordinances should be in pounds. You can't have over X many pounds of dogs. That way you could have about 5 little dogs to 1 big dog. |

| I say respect what he says but at the same time keep pounding it into his head. If you don't respect what he says it could possibly cause problems in the future.I don't mean just let it go, I mean beg and beg and beg. How come he can have two dogs but you can't that's not fair. His two dogs have eachother and Jackson deserves another little one to play with. Quote:

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | My husband was totally against me getting Kloey, but I was determined, but I think he holds a grudge against her, he pets her and hold her, but when she does something bad he raises his voice way to loud and she comes running to for like ... save me from that big bad beast! But the funny thing is, no matter how much he raises his voice she keeps going back to him for love. Is she trying to win him over? But you already have 3 dogs? Wow adding one more would be a very big handfull! Are you home with them all day? Or are they in a crate? Are you wanting to breed them ? |

| When I told my husband I wanted another yorkie a few months ago he said NO. Then one day my breeder called and told me a friend of hers has a female yorkie for sale. I told him I will go check it out and all he said was "you're crazy . . . there'll be twice the poop and pee to clean up". Because he did not say NO, that alone is an indication that it could be a YES. Lucky for him, the female pup got sold that very same day I got to call. However, now I am very vocal about looking for one and when he starts a discussion about wasting money, I remind him of all the things he splurges on golf and his car. I also told him I am spending MY MONEY so that shuts him up. Just make sure you wear the pants in the family so there is no question that whatever you want, you get. If you ask my husband he will tell you that when I have set my mind on something, it sure is gonna happen! These days, he's even helping me pick out a name for the female pup! |

| If I just went out and got one my Hubby would hit the roof. Begging and pleading works sometimes that is what I would try.

| Four little ones in the house would be a lot to handle, especially if you have two males trying to "outmark" each other. I am getting a little girl in a week or so and am wondering if maybe two will be a lot different. I am worried about them not being as closely bonded to me as it is with just one. I was surprised my husband didn't put up a big fuss, but I think it is because he wants a new motorcycle! |
