| New Here... Hi, I am new here! I just had to put down our beloved westie a few weeks ago. I have a young daughter that has a handicap, which she will outgrow, but for now she is not walking or climbing on anything. Anyways, my mother has a yorkie and so do other members of my family so we decided to look into getting our family a yorkie puppy. I know some people are against having yorkies in a home with young children, but because of her handicap, she will not be able to pick up the dog for quite a while and we plan on teaching her to never pick up puppy and always be gentle when petting puppy. She is a very gentle child, but I have come across some criticizing of me buying a puppy with a small child in the home. Anyways, here are pictures of our new girl that we will not get until the end of April, but the breeder (a very responsible breeder might I add, we did lots of research) let us have these pictures. We will be naming her Little Miss Dixie Althea (Althea means "Healer", which I feel like she is healing my heart since I had to put my westie down. ) |

| Im so sorry to hear about your baby! I, too, am waiting for my furbaby to come home to me and my patience is wearing thin! I cope by buying new things..haha There are some that will criticize, but there a lot of members on here with puppies and smaller children and the mix works out well for them..it just depends on the temperament of both the child of the puppy! Good luck and welcome!
