| Dog Whisperer is just .. I just ordered digital cable at my house starting this year.. so i have been watching Dog Whisperer... I am hooked. I watch same episodes twice.. at least.. It's just an amazing show! Anyway.. I am watching my friend's yorkie, Guinness. Guinness is very lovely.. But he tends to get so excited and bark before going for a walk.. and he barks at bicycle, tall people, skateboards, and other dogs. So I said.. let me try.. what I have learned rom the show. It WORKS! I took him out to walk four times already. And he didn't bark at all since he came to my house. I used to lift him up and carry him to downstairs when we go for walk.. since he tends to bark.. But I didn't do that. I even made him sit and stay still until I say "come". I mean.. this might be something that it is easy for some people.. but Guinness has never done that before.. and I was happy. We practiced for him to be patient and wait until I tell him it is okay to move. My my!! I even went half block and let him behind.. but he still waited!!! until I told him to come to me. My my! I am very happy about that. Now.. it seems like I don't have to worry about him staying at room by himself... He used to follow me everywhere. Anyway.. I think I will do pretty well.. with training my future pop.. Even one day... if you really commit to accomplish something.. I guess you can do it!! I am really getting ready for a pup!

| I love Cesar, The Dog Whisperer. He is so amazing with dogs, it seems he can teach any dog anything in 5 minutes. From biting to barking! My pups like to watch with me, we lay on my bed and at first when the segment starts, all that barking caused them all to bark, too. It gives me TV 'no bark' training practice.

| Oh, I am such a Cesar addict! I only wish I could exude the calm assertiveness of that man!! I sure do try. He's not really a Trainer, per se, but a behaviorist. He teaches you how to recognize the signs of a dog's brain not being centered (about to do an unwanted behavior) and nip it in the bud before it escalates. I try the "shttt" noise all the time with mine. It works only sometimes-but it's probably because I don't always have the right (calm, assertive) frame of mind. I really have learned alot with body blocking and some other techniques he shows. My husband teases me and says, "Cesar will tell those people to take that dog for a walk-that's always the cure". I do feel guilty sometimes, too because I don't always follow the "Rules, boundaries, limitations THEN love and affection" rule.....I just love the show!! Oh, look...I've gone ON & ON...LOL

| We also use the sshhttt sound to correct everything. It sure makes the house a lot quieter than everyone yelling 'QUIET' 'STOP THAT' whatever the pups are doing, stealing a sock, bark, now everyone goes ssshhhttt. It is much more pleasant, and the dogs always react. I also need to walk mine, but I pawn it off on my son. I do believe it would be a big benefit

| I have stopped my friend's dog barking and eating furniture in one fell swoop by using Cesar's techniques. Today a dog was barking at my yorkie when we were walking her and I got the lady to let me stop her dog from barking. She looked at me like I was crazy and asked "How the f did you do that." That is a great show and the free advice you get from it is priceless.
