Hello to Everyone from a Newbie :) Hello. I'm a new Yorkie owner, and so I happened upon your site whilst reading up on the world's cutest lil' doggy. I'm still waiting for the arrival of our newest family member, who should be here in a few hours. I am very glad to have found this site, as I had lots of questions about caring for our new arrival, and wasn't sure what was reliable or not. I guess there's nothing better than advice and guidance from those who know!

The Yorkie has landed!! She is here at last!! WooHoo!! 4 months old and the cutest thing I've ever seen. We went for the older puppy because she was the last one of her size, and no one else seemed to want her. They were all taking the puppy puppies. She is a real character already. Inquisitive and playful. She doesn't chew shoes but she does shoenap them and hide them under the bed. LOL! She pees alot, but we expected that. She likes the bath, and the hairdryer too!! So far its going great, and I love her to pieces already I just have one question, she seems to HATE rain, I mean she absolutely wont pee outside today, she just stands there and does this cute little moaning thing. So she's been having a few accidents. How do Yorkies usually do outside in this wet'n'chilly weather? Or am I just being too soft

Welcome and Congrats on your new Yorkie Baby Maybe she's more afraid of the noise. Maybe try and put down some paper or wee wee pads indoors example patio or garage.
