| Thank you everyone. Those are the same prices I found but I didn't know if I found one of 'those' breeders or if that was the average price. |

| You might want to visit the website for the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America at www.ytca.org and click on the Frequently Asked Questions page to learn about Yorkie colouring and what is deemed correct. There is also information on what is considered to be undesirable in Yorkies. |

| Thank you Lorrraine. I am familiar with the website and what colors are considered correct but some of the parti yorkies are beautiful and they are becoming more accepted as are some of the other colors. I was shocked to find the prices so high since their coloring is considered to be a fault...that's why I started this thread...to see if it was just me or if others found the same thing. |

| The parti marking means that the "base" coat is white with distinguishable colors other than white. Tri means the colors can be in any proportions and patterns, etc. A Yorkie that is mostly black or bluewith spots of white and gold would be a tri but not a parti-marked. That is my understanding from my conversations with the AKC color people.. |
