| Joey rings a bell that I've suspended from the back doorknob to tell me "it's time!"

| Eventually Bailey taught me... He would go and sit in front of my line of sight, ( usually beside the tv) and whine.. and I learned " Oh It's time." He always goes out the back door, so if he went and sat there, I would not see him. I can remember saying " when will he have a sign to tell me it's time?"Then one day I said , " Oh that's his sign."

| Tigger sits at the door, looks at the door knob and whines. We're trying to teach him to speak, because if we're in the office my boyfriend can't hear him very well. I'm also thinking of trying to train him with a bell. does anyone know how to go about training him to use the bell?

| from a puppy, when housebreaking them, I would say 'wanna go out?' as I took them out to potty. I guess they associate what I'm saying w/ going out now. Now, they come tell me. lol. They just have this 'look' when they hop around my feet. So I ask 'wanna go out?' and they make a beeline to the back door. lol It's the same when we take them in the car. 'wanna go for a ride?'...happy beeline to the garage door. They know the difference to the two words, as they always run to the appropriate door...out & ride. |

| The bells on the door worked great for me. Everytime I thought Raven had to go out I just took her paw and smacked the bells before I let her out. Before I knew it she turned into Bethoven!

| Mojo will go lay or sit on the rug by the door. If no one pays attention to him, he will whine or come get us. I can't explain how he started going to the door....he is potty trained for indoors (pee pad) and outdoors (where he goes to the same spot - unless he gets distracted). I always use "let's go poo-poo". I would LOVE to teach him the "potty" command. Has anyone taught their dog to poo on command (like when traveling, before boarding a plane, etc)?
