| We have a Yorkie that I would consider a Platinum. The photos of her as a newborn, there is no way that you could tell that she was going to turn out a color other than normal Black and Tan. As she aged through her first 6-8 months she was still pretty much a standard color. Then as she ranged through 12-15 months, she just kept showing more and more of a silver grey on her body and Platinum blond in the head. I don't have any pictures sized so that I can show them here but if you PM me with your email address I will send you pictures from 3 weeks up until present so you can see how the change happened.

| A lot of yorkies have a blonde head and legs and then their back is black or gray. I think some just might have blonder colors then others. Occasionally there are some born with a color deck that all of there hair is blonde but they are that was from birth and referred to as goldens. I have heard of a few blue born yorkies turning completely white/ very light blonde.

YorkieTalk Newbie! | Platinum puppy Lacys mom. Was she always platinum. My male 23 weeks, is very light, always has been. I'm wondering if he will progressively get lighter. His fur has never been like Angies, my female pup. |

| Cody is quite platinum. His head was silver at one time, as well. He has gotten a bit of gold on his head now. Quote:

| Chewie's neck and now almost half of her back is turning silver. Top of her head is getting super light, and so are her ears. I have her in the schnauzer cut currently and she looks really pretty. |

| Pretty sure my pup will end up close to it, both her parents were blonde and blue, probably on the lighter side of the standard and her face is getting pretty light golden to pale blonde. Still a pup though, only time will tell. |
