| My Chewie I was looking at my little gal playing and just being the best girl ever, and I thought, Of all the yorkies out there, I got the very best one to ever walk the planet. Seriously, just ask my husband and daughter! Obviously I'm- halfway- joking. No, in all seriousness, We gave it a week for playing and we've been gentle with it. Today She pointed at the bed but wouldn't let me pick her up. Hubby got my attention, so I wasn't fast enough to see her point at her bone, too. So she jumped on the bed. Yeah, this bed is super high, so we sat there flabbergasted. Then she gave me her sassy bark as if to say, why didn't you understand me?!!! This was YOUR fault. Sigh. Why do I even bother. This is also the very first time, spay or not, that we've seen her land a leap THAT high. I tell ya.. heart attack. |

| When referring to physical recovery, the expression "bounce back" takes on a whole new meaning with Yorkies, yes?! Glad your girl is doing so well! And JennaPenny, I totally get it when you say Chewie is the best one on the planet, cuz I'm pretty certain that Piper is thee cutest-thing-ever-in-the-universe! We're pretty lucky that we each got the most perfect little canine, right?! Is there a Yorkie 'parent' that doesn't feel exactly the same way?!! Yes!!! And, When she did that leap Piper's first night home after spay came to mind. I think hubby thought I lost my marbles when I just laughed about it. his expression, your story, and her bark just slayed me. In HER defense she DID tell me!!! Mama just wasn't smart enough to pick up that second point (which isn't *really* a point, more of her paw bent and using THAT to point!) What she wanted was to actually have the bone in her paws while I transferred her. | |

| I've ne ver had an issue with her communication, as she will let us know one way or another. But thank you, you're right they are the best. |

| There is no doubt that you are completely tuned-in to Chewie and she you! Chewie sounds like a very intelligent and observant little girl; and you've been able to figure out her signals and can interpret her little nuances...How wonderful for you both!!! |

| It is amazing how fast these little guys heal and what amazing pain tolerance they must have. We had to restrain Bella for about a week after her liver shunt surgery. She had an incision from her lower chest all the way down to her hoo hoo but still wanted to run around and jump up on the furniture.
