| Baby Bear is going bald I have a 12 weeks old puppy and he is going bald. This started about 2 weeks ago and is getting worse. He has a vet apt on Monday to make sure he is a healthy boy and doesn't have flaky skin or appear to be sick or uncomfortable. Is this normal, Mom's Pom blew his coat like this but I didn't think yorkies did. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and welcome. Your pic is super blurry, so I can't tell much from it. Could be mange, as many puppies have it. Or ring worm. Glad you're going to the vet as this pup needs to be seen asap.

| Update The vet says it is mange, but it is curable and his hair will grow back. Yea!! He is a handful for such a little guy but a sweetheart all the same. We should have named him superdog as he is an active little guy. I'm thinking agility for him, or he is going to drive me around the bend |

I never did agility but I'm thinking about it with my Ruby. She's four and still full of pep and vigor! | |

| His hair is growing back Well it looks like we got it fixed, Bear's coat is growing back although it is coming in grey instead of black but that is ok. |

| The grey hair is probably part of the natural coat color change, and not related to the mange. After his next (first?) grooming, hopefully, the color will look more uniform and less patchy. |
