| senior Yorkie My sweet girl is almost 14 and I have now noticed that her appetite has decreased and she cant tolerate alot of the foods that she could previously. I've tried so many tricks to get her to eat, but she continues to be so picky. Has anyone else found that this is normal for a senior Yorkie? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and welcome to YT . Dogs generally only lose their appetite for any extended period if/when something is truly wrong. It seems like you're saying this is not just a day here or there, but more regular? If so, I'd really get her to the vet as something could definitely be wrong here since inappetance in dogs is a concerning sign. If it's just random / here or there -- you may want to try sprinkling some Parmesan cheese on her food as this can really help entice dogs.

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | I have a senior pup who will be 13 on June 6th and I have never had an issue with him not wanting to eat, its totally the opposite. I would get him into the vet. for an check up just to be sure all is well.
