| Help with short nose hairs getting into eyes I posted this question in the grooming section but got only one response. The response was to use Pet Silk. But when I went to the link to look at it, I don't believe this is what I am looking for to help my situation. It looks like shampoo and condition and a keratin oil. I'm looking for maybe a gel or paste???? Not exactly sure what would be best to use. What I need to know is what to do with the short hairs that are on what I call the bridge of her nose but up close to her eyes. I try to comb them down but of course they don't stay and they are driving me crazy let alone what they are doing to her. Advice???? Thank you |

| Do you cut the hair on the bridge of the nose, close to the eyes, or are you trying to grow it out? Or is hair breaking off? When Max was a puppy and his nose hair mustache were growing, I used a flea comb and a little bit of water to comb down the hair and keep it out of his eyes. I had to do this several times a day. Namor did the same with her boy Deuce when he was growing his mustache back out. You can use the Pet Silk topknot gel, just a tiny bit. Be careful not to get in the eyes. If your girl is a face rubber, I would skip it.

| The only thing I could do to correct it, in the end, was to live through it until the hairs grew out and ensure that groomers had explicit instructions to never cut the fur near his eyes ---- like today. It is annoying but if you let it grow out, it will only be annoying for a short while! |

| Yep...water to stick it down with, and grow out was what I did, too. I sometimes used a little aloe with the water, too, so it would be a little stiffer...but still safe to lick...when dry and stay down a little teensy bit longer when he went out with us.

| Thank you. Guess I never considered just plain old water I believe that originally the groomer must have been keeping it trimmed because I never noticed this before. Maybe she just decided on her own to let it grow. She pretty much knows what I want in a cut so I haven't recently discussed anything different with her. It's definitely the nose hairs closest to her eyes but on the nose. When I clean her eye area in the morning to get rid of any gunk, I get those hairs wet and they do stay down for a short period of time and I do comb them down at the same time. Guess I will just have to wet the hairs more often. Thank you for the help |

| I do the same thing with water. Dixie's hair is growing out around her eyes and it sticks up right now. I'm just going to have to be patient. And, remind our groomer every time not to cut it!
