| I am new here. Hi Everyone- I am new here and new Yorkie owner. Sadie is 10 months old and weighs about 4lbs (dry). I got her from an older woman whom had so many pups she was over run with them. I know I should have adopted but this was just to sad to leave her. She is now happy and healthy and coming out of her shyness and really is turning into a great dog. I hope that as I go along with her, I can reach out and get some advice and suggestions on what to do. Thanks for reading this and hope to chat with some of you soon. Brad

| Welcome to you and Sadie. I think I would have had a problem leaving her there, also. There is a lot of helpful information on this site. There are many very knowledgable people on here. Take time look around, ask questions and look at the stickies at the top of the pages. Best of luck with her.

Thank you!! It was hard not to. We left her there only about a day and a half just to decide but by Friday morning we called and said we want her. She is so small I can't imagine how she survived there as long as she did. I guess she had no choice but to make do with what she had. Well she'll never have to worry about going back to that life again. EVER! Thank you again for your warm wishes.

| Welcome to YT and thank you for rescuing this lil girl, dog hoarders mean well, but become over whelmed with these dogs, and as much as these hoarders love all animals, they cannot see the neglect they are putting them through. Matters not if you adopt or you rescue, you save a life, that's what matters. Bless you for having a heart and feelings. I am sure lil Sadie has found her furever home with a loving family that will make her into the lil Dive she was meant to be. Rescues are special babies. We buy puppies and just love them to death and spoil them rotten, but when you rescue it is very different, we want to make up to them for their past, I speak from experience. I have had 4 yorkies all now past, bought them as babies, loved and spoiled them rotten. When I lost my last girl, I was gifted with this lil 3 y/o boy from my vet. All my girls were loved more then I can say, and with the passing of each one of them my grief was beyond over whelming. When lil boy entered my life I didn't know how special he would become to me, he is my first rescue. All I want to do is make him as happy as I can to make up for his past, Cody was not an abused dog, he was a much loved dog and raised and trained by a little girl, he was her dog, then was taken away from her. I know my boy loved her dearly, so I try to make him happy, no one can replace the love of a child for their dog. He was spoiled when he came to me and I love that, his life with me if far different then his life with his prev.owner, but he is a happy boy. You will find yourself doing the very same thing. Trying to make up for her past. Bless you and enjoy that lil fur baby. YT members are always here to help, guide, advise, Ask away, you will get the help and answers.
