| Hi, new here Just thought I'd let you know I'm here. I found you all while searching for info on my two new little family members. No, they are not all Yorkie by breeding, but they are in spirit. David and Evie are my new fur family members. They are half Yorkie with some Shih tzu and Poodle tossed in for grins and giggles. In my defense, I have wanted a Yorkie for years, to the point of talking to a friend on mine with connections. I went to see the Yorkie he had and fell in love with the poodle instead. There was an instant connection with her that I didn't get with him. Since I didn't get my Yorkie, I guess I must have still been secretly searching because I stumbled across these guys and could not resist. I understand the health risks, etc and am already prepared to have David's hernia repaired. (But, since I work in the medical field, and part time for a vet, he's going to be taken care of, I promise). I do understand and appreciate well bred dogs as I do raise working Kelpies, but I have a need for a little tiny cuddly dog after all these decades of large working dogs. I am still being harrassed by friends and family about the poodles, I can only imagine the responses when they see the new kids. I LOVE spoiling the little ones (my daughter and I refer to them as the Midgets - the YorkieXs are Uber Midgets lol). Evie is already learning how to wear dresses, must to her chagrin and Davy is sporty hair clips at least until they get to playing too hard. I can not wait until they're old enough and reliable about pottying so I can let them sleep in bed with us, too. Thank you from allowing me to join, I plan on asking stupid questions and hopefully on occasion, bestowing some helpful hints, too. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and WELCOME to YT, so glad you found us ! I got a laugh out of this: "I plan on asking stupid questions" -- so thank you for that . Like you, I had always had bigger dogs, and then I got yorkies in my 30s and WOW, I fell in LOVE w/ smaller dogs. They're still "big dogs", just inside little dog's bodies. I love how cuddly they are and how you can hold their entire little bodies in your arms, love that. And so portable too! Glad you found yourself some little ones to love, you sound just perfect for yorkies.

| Thank you for your sweet welcome. I wasn't sure how my almost Yorkie oops pups would be received. I guessed they would be OK, but with some folks, you never know. It's nice to find a friendly forum. Oh, and just for grins and giggles, I have truly enjoyed snooping throughout the forum, I am in the middle of an interesting discussion which I have bookmarked so I can finish it (hopefully tonight lol) and for fun, taped Evie's ears like I found suggested on a site that was linked from here. DD decided she wants her pup floppy eared. Ok, seriously, these guys are cute, fun, fiesty, and adorable! I'm having a blast with them. My big dogs love them and my poodles (usually snobs) even play with them. Great little doggies! Now, I'm thinking Barn hunts and maybe agility........ |

| Hi and welcome to YT, no question is ever "stupid" and something is always learned from what would be considered a "stupid" question. If in doubt about anything, always ask, there are very knowledgeable members on YT. Would LOVE to see pictures of your lil fur family.
