| Sleepy baby My baby is 10 weeks old and sleeps an awful lot.. Is it true just as it is with human babies? Do furbabies just sleep a lot too? |

| Yes, I was told that they sleep quite a bit. The only time to worry is if they aren't fully active when they are awake.

| They do sleep a lot. Do not disturb their sleep, they need it. I thought something was wrong with my dog because she'd play for 10 minutes and just pass out sleeping for like 3 hours. It was weird but I learned to just let her sleep while I did my thing. Trust me, enjoy your time while your baby sleeps. It's the only time you can do some of your things at home...haha...any pictures of your new pup?

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | He is so adorable...I really won't worry about him sleeping so much. My girls slept alot when they were little and they still sleep alot now. I have heard that they sleep an average of 16-18 hours a day and be normal and probably more when they are still growing!!

| HOuse dogs -especially- sleep a lot. The amount a dog sleeps depends on its environment. Dogs in a comfortable, quiet environment will sleep their hearts out. But - ask them if they want to go outside or play and they are up and eager to go....even at 2 a.m. (Dogs often sleep because there is nothing else to do -- just like people, I guess!) Carol Jean |
