| Welcome, fellow Ohioian! Another Ohio member, we have quite a few. Let us know when your baby arrives.

| I would immediately run out and get the book "Yorkshire Terriers for Dummies" (no disrespect), have a vet appointment lined up (many contracts with a breeder require this) and it will make you feel better, find out what the breeder has been feeding the little one, dog dishes, Nutri-Cal, crate, x-pen, puppy pads, Harness and leash (collars can harm these little ones), lots of little stuffed toys and spend time on YT searching info on New puppies. I am sure that I probably left something off the list but other members will add their thoughts and congratulations on your new little one.

Whatever aspect of puppy-mothering you are concerned about has probably been dealt with here. Just do a search for that topic. Other good books include Ian Dunbar's Before and After You Get Your Puppy and The Idiot's Guide to Positive Dog Training. I also recommend this website: http://www.clickersolutions.com/arti....htm#behaviors Scroll down to "puppy training". Happy reading!!! | |
