| An introduction I've been a member of YT for years but have just become a bit more active so I thought I'd tell my story: At 49 I loved dogs but had never thought I'd have enough time to devote to one. On a Saturday afternoon I impulsively started calling Yorkie breeders but nothing clicked. On Sunday I had just one left to call-Tsa La Gi Yorkies in Oklahoma, & the rest is history! Glenda had a 1.8lb 5 month old who was ready to go to her forever home. (This pup had been held back for show but she wasn't getting big enough & also was turning very blond!) On Monday I drove to OK from Denver to adopt my little Dolly. Now 9 years old & 3.5 lbs. beautiful blond Dolly still acts like an energetic puppy & is a wonderful therapy dog to seniors at an assisted living home. About 4 years later I wondered if I should get a second. My first day on Craigslist I found a darling tiny long haired Chihuahua who desperately needed a home & I picked her up the next morning. Totally wild, Roxy settled down within days & became a little love bug. She even grew to love being handed around in the senior's home. A year later Roxy developed terminal cancer & when she started declining I had to tell our friends at the home. What a teary afternoon that was! However....... A worker at the home approached me & said she had a yorkie she needed to rehome. When I called her the next morning she said "I thought you'd be here by now to pick her up." What? Wow! Twenty minutes later Tila Tequila (now Teena) was mine!!!! She was 2 yrs old, 2.5 lbs. & freshly shaved. She hadn't been socialized but no worry-she's now a very healthy 3.5 lbs. & very well adjusted. One thing you may see in this bio is I never waited more than a day from my initial decision to get another dog to actually having one in my arms. Not recommended, but it always worked for me! On the morning Teena came into my life a friend stopped by & shot a video-I wasn't aware she was shooting so please forgive my chatting on it. You can see it here-Teena's first hour with my family & the first time she interacted with my other dogs. Roxy, my chi, was a little chubby from her prednisone but still had 4 weeks to live. I hope you enjoy it: Hope this wasn't too long but now you know all about my little family! Annie |

YT 500 Club Member | Your pups are beautiful. So sorry for your loss of Roxy. I love that they are service dogs at the senior center. I have taken my youngest to visit my grandmother (96) at her retirement center. The other residents just love holding and playing with her.

| So nice to meet you, Annie and to read your story of your life with your babies. I, too, am sorry to hear of your loss of Roxy. I agree that the "ideal" is to research and find the right breeder and pup, but sometimes - we are just given the dogs that are meant to be ours. That's obviously what happened for you with Dolly, Roxy, and Teena. Gorgeous girls

| About Teena: After a bit of digging I've traced Teena to an unscrupulous, heavily criticized, broker out of Beverly Hills, CA. There are stories of her buying dogs on the East Coast for $500 & reselling in CA for $3-5k! Teena was sold for $3300 as a pup, vaccinated & spayed when she was handed over to me---free ---when she was 2. I was her third owner after the broker. The sweetie is lying on my lap, Dolly, too, as I write this. |
