| My Smart Yorkie! I'm a first time Yorkie owner to a little boy named Bandit. I got him at 9 weeks old. His bday is feb 20th so that makes him about 14 weeks old. I kept reading about how hard Yorkies are to train. My little guy is trained good now and has been for over a week. I'm SO PROUD of him! He uses the potty pad or outside. He will not go on my carpet anymore. I will say the last time he went on my carpet, I scolded him like a child.......I know the experts say not to do that but it must have worked because that was the last time he went on the carpet. He will stop in the middle of play if he has to pee and will go into the kitchen hall to use the pad!!! I'm already so attached and bonded to my baby. He's unlike any dog I've ever had. He sleeps with me and will wake me up when he needs to pee and then wants to go straight back to bed. he will also stay in the crate but only for short periods at a time like if we're going to the store or something! I feel like God blessed me with such a wonderful smart pup!!!!! Yorkies ROCK!!

Donating YT 500 Club Member | What a smart boy he is! I'm a first time yorkie owner, too. They are terribly smart and so affectionate. I could feel the love that you have for Bandit through your post. He is a blessed little boy.

| I know what you mean, my baby is the first dog who I have been able to successfully train to go on a pad. Since he is so tiny, I feel much better that he is indoors 99% of the time. Yorkies are so smart!!!!
