| Spay today I'm a wreck Chloe went in for her Spay and baby teeth removed this morning. Left her at the Vets at 7:30 am it's only been 2 1/2 hours I'm a nervous wreck! They told me to call at Noon. I have been trying to keep my self busy all morning. I purchased oneies is there anything else I should get. I'm sure they will be giving me Meds to bring home from the Vets. I know I'm doing the right thing by getting her Spay at least that's what I keep telling myself. It's for her health. I was going to wait until she was 9 to 11 months but some of her baby teeth that didn't come out need to be pulled. I didn't want to put her under anesthesia twice so decided to spay her early and take care of the teeth. Oh my goodness this is nerve racking the waiting. |

| You made the right choice. No news is good news. She is probably doing just fine, but I too was a wreck when my boy was neutered. Good luck with the rest of your day |

YT 2000 Club Member | Little precious Chloe will be fine. Letting go and trusting the vet is very hard to do. You must not stress out. I learned how to let go every time my policeman husband left the house. I turned him over to the Lord and did not let myself go nuts wondering if something was going to happen. Just say a little peace prayer in your heart and trust the Lord and the vet with little Chloe. |

| I can completely relate Janice. My Chloe was spayed about 6 weeks ago. I was a nervous wreck all day. She will do fine. Mine was groggy the first night. I did get her some pedialyte in case she wouldn't drink water. She LOVED the orange. I gave it to her in a medicine dropper. She didn't eat much that night, just a little boiled chicken. The next day she was back to her normal self. Please let us know how she did and her recovery. I will pray for you and her.

| We've all been through it and know just exactly how scared you are! Awful time! I'm certain she'll be fine and you will, too, as soon as you hear "She's awake..."!!! Praying for your baby!

| Praying for Chloe and you. It's hard being patient, but don't hesitate to call them if it'll help you. I'm sure the vet's office will understand.

| Chloe's home Thanks for everyone's kind thoughts. Yes Thank goodness it's over and I just brought Chloe home. They let me take her a little early just as long as I could keep her calm. She is very groggy from all the pain meds she is on, but everything went fine. They removed her two baby teeth and clipped her nails. Only water tonight, no food until tomorrow morning. Thanks for the idea of the Orange Pedialyte I'll get some of that. They also gave me Metacam Oral Suspension for pain and inflammation. I have to give her 0.5mg once a day for 10 days. They want to see her back in 14 days for a check up or sooner if she has any problems. They do not need to remove the sutures because they dissolve. Here's a couple of pictures of her now. In the first picture she has her head on the arm rest of the love seat to hold it up she kept her eyes open for about 15 seconds then just to see what was going on nosy as she is. And in the second picture she tried it was a tough day. I'm so glad it's over and she's home. Last edited by JANICE C; 04-23-2013 at 12:03 PM. |
