| Happy but sad I saw the blue print of the new park in my tiny city. And they are adding a dog park!! Yippee! But after working at an animal clinic here in town for 2 1/2 years I doubt I will take my dogs unless their are rules that are kept. No one around here even puts their animals on hwp. I even seen tons of people leave who's dogs had worms without deworming.

| I have to worry about our neighbors, just on the other side of our driveway! They have 4/5 dogs, I can't even count them all, and have heard that they don't keep their dogs vaccines updated. Our yard is fenced but their dogs do their business just on the other side and it freaks me out to know that my own dogs have to live next to that.

| Oh Ann that really stinks!! I don't take Peanut to dog parks.. we have a really nice one down the street from us, but it is just too dangerous. Half the time there are big dogs in the little section, dogs that hump Peanut and their owners say nothing, people bring small little puppies in there... I just don't feel comfortable- Peanut isn't too fond of the parks either- he will just run around sniffing and peeing on everything! Then when we leave he smells like a pee bucket! UCK!! Lucky for me he would rather take a nice walk than go in the park!

| Yeah, it's sad. I let me dogs around clean dogs only at people houses. But I would love for them to have a park to go to! Maybe the dh could make one and put in a tiny dog pool!

| I understand how you feel. Most towns do not have the money to have someone monitor a dog park and there are tons of people who do not take proper care of their pets. It could become a breeding ground for fleas and disease. With Gracie being so small I don't feel comfortable having her around strange dogs so I would never take her to a regular dog park anyway. |

| He may make me settle for a kiddie pool so I'll add(sneak) that into my grocery bill.

| I understand how you feel, too! I was soooo excited to take P-Nut to the little doggy section of one of our local dog parks last year. Well, he caught giardia the first time there! I've never been back to that one. We tried one other which was pretty nice and all the dogs were well-behaved, but you just never know. No one's checking tags, vaccinations, etc. It makes me too nervous, especially with all the health problems we've had with my boy (stomach issues since the giardia). |

| Yeah, it is scarey! I'm thinking the kiddie pool in my our yard will be best. I'm sure she will love it(she dives in her water bowl already). Maybe a play yard of some sort too.
