| Coat help! Daisy Mae is now almost 1yr. Her hair is starting to come in she has about a 2-3 inch stripe of silver new hair down her part. It is mixed with a little light tan, a few strands of black. I have been having troble keeping her from tangeling, the old(Puppy hair) I am assuming is slightly wavy, or more fluffy. She is also really wavy at her rear haunch area. The groomer did a puppy cut on her last time..about 12 wks ago. Should I get her a really good hair cut for the summer and let the puppy hair go? or should I trim a little at a time? I really want her to be longer and top knoted. Also her top knot is just filling in good, looosing her puppy hair, any suggestions on trimming to make thicker? |

| For thickening the topknot, you could try using Vellus satin creme. It is popular with exhibitors. For the body hair, if you want a long coat, go ahead and let it start growing. Trim the tips of the hair about once a month to keep it healthy and strong.
