| New Yorkie + 2 Airedales = ?? So we picked up our 8 1/2 week old Yorkie yesterday. Mr. Ferguson joins our 7 year old female, and 1 year old (very very recently fixed) male Airedales. So far so good, as far as introductions. The 1 year old is still very rambunctious. Anyone have any experience to share on making sure they all get along? This is our first Yorkie. We've only had Airedales for the last 13 years. |

Hello , welcome to yorkie talk.. Airedales are awesome.. I have a 6 year old 85 # male named Angus. I also have a 9 # yorkie. They get along great.. Because of the HUGE size difference i never leave them together unsupervised... | |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I love Oscar and Angus so much! They are two really cute dogs. Airedale terriers are such awesome dogs (can't wait until the day I get to finally adopt one). I don't have any personal experience with the breed combination, though. You should post some pictures of your dogs! We love to see pictures. I agree with Oscar's mom, though. No unsupervised time together. |

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk and congratulations on the new addition to your family. I am an Oscar and Angus fan too. My family had an Airedale whom we adopted as an adult -- coincidentally, she was 85 pounds and 6 years old. She was very well trained and sweet as can be, but not socialized with small dogs. We could not trust her with small dogs. (ETA: this was years ago, long before we had our Yorkies) Wanda gave great advice to supervise closely -- and do lots of training.
