| Alisha, make sure you have some chicken broth on hand and a dropper or syringe to use for water. At first, she might not want to eat or drink. (Mandie was like this anyway). Drizzle a bit of broth over her kibble and it will help. You might need to feed her by hand. Same with the water..I used a dropper the first 12 or so hours. Other than that, keep a onsie on her if you can if she starts licking. And, keep her from being extremely active (so she doesn't rip her stitches). Other than that, she should be fine...she'll probably just want to lay there and rest for the first few hours after coming home.

| So glad she made it through the procedure safely! Surgery is tough, even if it is what the vet considers "routine". And Merry End of the World Day back at you!!!

Donating YT Addict | Poor lil one. With waffles she was shivering and moaning in pain. Also came home very drowsy she fell straight forward and hurt chin. I had to hand feed for a few days. Her tummy was very tender. I called vet 3xs the first 2 days LoL she was just whimpering. But by day 4 she wanted to play. I had a hard time keeping her calm then. Also have a cone on hand. We needed one for her. Lil stinker got her T-shirt out of the way and went licking sutures. Hugs to you both. |

| Glad your baby did well with her spay. Poor baby, shaking is a sign of pain sometimes, did they give you a pain med for the first day or two?

| They gave me four days worth of meds. She seems to be doing better today. But it has been a chore keeping her calm....any advice to keep a puppy calm? She just wants to run which my vet says not to let her do for ten days???!

| It will be a challenging few days post surgery. Just be there for her and keep her close by. |
