| Why did you choose their name? We get our pup this weekend and are trying to come up with a name. What was the reasoning behind your dog's name? |

Senior Yorkie Talker | Choosing a name.. I have 3 son's so my yorkies have to be girl's with pretty femine names. My first Yorkie was small and so cute. She was called Gemma, but we called her Gemmi. She passed away at 16yrs. The my next yorkie was called Bo after actress Bo Derrick. As a pup she was so small..so I wanted a small name for her. Sadly she passed away in May this year aged 11yrs. And now we have tiny tot...called Hollee who is 12wks old today. Ax

| Boo was a rescue who came with the name Alex. Seriously? He is sooo not an Alex. After we picked him up and was driving home talking about names, Boo just popped into DH's head. It fits him perfectly. Gracie was one of 3 names that made it to the short list when we got her. After a very short time it was apparent that Gracie was to be her name. A few days later I was calling to her and out came Gracie Ruth. It's been that ever since. When Yogi came along it was pretty natural that with a Boo-boo in the house we'd have to have a Yogi too. And it fits him like no other name could. He's truly a little bear. Although I'm not too sure if he's smarter than the average bear. Sorry Yogi, Momma loves you but I'm just sayin'...

| Pups names I chose Bonnie Blue from my favorite book and movie, Gone with the Wind. Brett Maverick was because we lost our Rhett Butler after 13 years of pure love. My Husband loved Brett. He said it was close to be Rhett but not the same. I liked James Garner as Brett Maverick so we both came up with Brett Maverick. |

The middle names were their litter names- Ziva =grace( as you need a lot of...) Abby=jane (as in plain) I love theme names ie. spices, flowers, characters... |

| I adoptd Willow Grace almost 2 yrs ago and her Foster Mom named her Willow and I gave her the Middle name of Grace. Allie I adopted 1 1/2 yrs ago, she was an owner turn in to the Rescue group, her name was Alex, I didn't like that so changed it to Allie Nicole. Luci I acquried at the end of May, she was a owner re-home. Her original name was Juicy. I did not like that name, so I changed it to Luci Chevonne.

Zachary's Mom Donating Member | My 11 year old Chihuahua is Twinkie because he has a very heavy bone structure and looks like an upside down Twinkie. Gizmo is my 5 year old Terrier/X because she has both short smooth hair as well as long wirey hair (strange looking dog). B is my 5 pound long hair Chihuahua. She flits around like a bee hence, the name B. Yoshi, my 2 year old Japanese Chin...the name just suited her. Sir Yumble is my 1 year old Japanese Chin. My husband had a german shephard by that name and it just suited him. Zachary, my 8 mth old Biewer just looks like a Zachary. The breeder called him Jake which I didn't like. Yes, I am a crazy dog lady and proud of it!! Louise |

| Brody and Mia were both 'pre-owned' and named by their previous owners. I didn't change their names. However, with all the other cats and dogs I have named, the fur babies always seem to choose their own names...one kitty refused to accept "Pepper" and bunches of other names, even refused to look at me until, going through a list of names asking what HE wanted to be called, I said, "Smokey" and he whipped his head around to look me straight in the eye.

| King's Minnie Mina ( Royal, tiny, strong willed warrior) I knew that Mina would be my sweet little girl (well except for the tomboy part) King : our last name, meaning Royal Minnie: needed something that would go with Mina. Didnt even think about it being the same spelling as Minnie Mouse. Mina: You just need to meet her to understand that this is a perfect name for her. When she came to us,she was the youngest dog of the 6 that were living in our house. She belonged to the Alpha in the house (that would be me) and therefore she had to be bigger than she is. |

| Scoobers was Scooby...listed as a girldog so MiloI almost lost out on all his boyish names, thought we'd meet her later and decide, shocjer when we got there Scoovers had been neutered not spayed...Milo (my son who was 5 at the time) saw how small Scoober was and said he's just a Scoob...it evolved to Scoobers. Elvis came at 2yrs (maybe he was 4 ) old with his name which fits perfectly and we all love his name sake. Princess such was named because Elvis is King of Yorkies lol and we had Peanit already nicknamed Queen bee...Princess Tess Von Beer lol. She definately has spoiled princess persona.

♥Love My 3 Furrbutts♥ Donating Member | Raelle was taken from the character the lamb lies down on broadway. Raelle is the female version of Rael. Orion was taken from the Jethro Tull song of the same name which is based on the actual star sign 'Orion' Jersey looked like a jersey cow....it fit her perfectly, not to be confused with Jersey Shore...ugh!!! First two were named by fiance...Jersey was named by me!!!

| Jackson was named after Johnny Cash's song 'Jackson'. We used to always sing it at kareokee, and then we watched the movie Walk The Line, and when I first saw Jackson's picture, it was just what stuck and kept coming to my mind. I can't imagine him being named anything else!
