| Corky and the groomer Last week I took Corky to the groomer. This is a new place, It is a part of the Vet's practice. So you check the dog in, and you pick them up at the end of the day. Well I called around 11am, after my daughter who is Corky's mom, wanted to know what time Cork was going to be ready. The lady on the phone tells me, that Corky was not very friendly to the other dogs, She said he was not aggressive, Just did not want to play.. Until another yorkie showed up. Then Corky and the other yorkie played together for a while before taking a nap. She said he refused to play with the other dogs, even when the other yorkie was doing so. She found it so odd.. Is it possible that corky only like other yorkies? |

| I would ask why my dog was put in a position where it had to play with other dogs? How big were the other dogs? How do they know the health issues of these dogs? I would never leave my dog all day for grooming. It takes an hour to an hour and a half max to groom a dog. I would not leave my dog in a place that put her in with other dogs. |

| The dogs have to health checked, before being allowed to stay there. UTD on shots ect! The other dogs are not super large dogs, they are separated according to size. I do not want Corky left in a crate while waiting to groom or me picking him up. They are allowed to play with supervision. |

| Toki gets along fine and likes playing with all sizes and types of dogs! She does play the best with dogs her size (obviously, I guess). But when we run into another yorkie, it seems like something just clicks! A lady who lives in my apartment complex has a male yorkie that is a couple weeks younger than Toki and it is just like love at first sight whenever they see each other! They do this hugging thing and give each other kisses which I haven't seen her do with other dogs/pups, even the small ones. They seem to interact differently and have a blast playing together. I don't know if her behavior toward other yorkies is just coincidence or what but I always love running into other yorkies! |

We've not met another yorkie yet. Jaeger loves everyone, but he plays best with other dogs around his size. He seems more at ease that he isn't going to get bowled over. | |

| I don't think that's odd and I find that she even brought it up to be odd. So he doesn't want to play with other non-Yorkies maybe he wants to play with dogs his size. I don't find it odd at all. Georgie doesn't really play with any other dogs. My nieces Yorkie comes over and they lay on seperate ends of the bed.
