| Oh wow...you are living my life. Usually when Copper gets me up that early, he wants to go out. I take him out (often on a leash) just so we aren't staying out to explore. He will usually go back to sleep. This morning he woke me up early and then about a half hour later when I finally got back to sleep, he came up on the bed and whined at me. I was not a happy camper. I have his excercise pen set up downstairs complete with potty pads and bed. I may give him a chance to get me up for a potty run tomorrow morning, but then I'm going to put him in his pen so I can go back to sleep and not be disturbed for an hour. Good luck. This is the only solution I can think of right now.

| My hubby suggested I put him to bed in the pen after his last potty run. That is ok, but I kind of like it when he snuggles with me in the middle of the night. He sleeps in an open crate (with a soft bed inside) beside my bed.

| my husband takes him out when he barks at 5 am and he feeds him as the breeder ( mu hubby's uncle) told us that is when he fed him when he first had him, we put him back in his bed in our room in the bathroom with a gate across the door which is next to our bed but he continues to bark and won't go back to sleep If I put him in his pen in the kitchen he will wake my 3 and a half year old up I can't win! This morning he did go to sleep in his pen after my husband put him in but my daughter then got up! LOL! I didn't know if feeding him later would make him sleep longer or exercising later. |
