| How could an organization be so ridiculous! So I just read a blog post by a friend. I'm going to share it here, but please note there is some mild cursing in it, and personally I feel she is fully justified. The post discusses Toddlers and Tiars the TLC tv show and how in some of the pagents the prize is a puppy!!!:m ad: http://mufaasa.thescruffysite.com/?p=567 I'm at a loss for words, that's how disgusted I am in this show and the pagents that think it is ok to give away a life as a prize to a child without assurance from the parents that it will be taken care of.

| This is just another proof of the ignorance that so many people have about pets in this country.......dogs in particular. While it is ignorance I think it stems from the self indulgent and selfish attitude so many people have. They expect everything to be about them and how it satisfies their needs. They are so selfish they do not care about the needs or feelings of an animal. They have no feelings for anyone or anything outside themselves. I really don't watch this kind of thing on TV. I have seen bits about it on the news and that is more than I can handle. It's narcissism at it's highest. |

| Ick, I saw that on one episode. My daughter loves this show for some reason, it's like a car wreck, you can't look away One little girl was pitching a FIT because she didn't win the puppy. These spoiled little pixie-stick, red-bull guzzling monsters, created by their lousy parents, would play with that puppy for a day or two then forget all about it This pageant craziness should be considered child abuse! I remember years ago when a child's beauty pageant consisted of kids in their natural state Now it's all fake hair, fake teeth, spray tans, and $8,000 dresses And what is it teaching the kids? That outer appearance is all that matters. I see eating disorders in those girls' futures Sorry, I tend to go off whenever this show is mentioned. When my daughter watches it, I'll yell at the TV
