| Just A Reminder....Watch Out for Hawks/Owls/Coyattes I know I have read this several times over the past 5 years about how careful we have to be with our precious ones when there are preditors (owls, coyotes, hawks) out there lurking.....well I got a aqnother definite wake up call yesterday morning around 10:00 am....While talking over the fence with my neighbor who just rescued two jack russell/chihuahuas I happened to notice a halk sworing overhead between our two back yards...luckily we were able to quickly grab our dogs and head indoors.....Just be aware that regardless of the time of day....your precious animal could be at risk...It's that time of year again and they are all out their looking for food...

| Yes they are all out right now. Add snakes to that list also. We have the snakes, coyotes, owls, and hawks here. It is scary to take my girls out anymore. My husband was telling me that the coyotes will come in your yard even if you are right by your dog. He said to start yelling and it could scare them off. I hate to say this but I have honestly thought about taking my pistol outside with me just in case. It is a shame to have to worry that much.

| I don`t have my puppy yet, but today I saw a huge owl in broad daylight fly out of my tree. I swear it was a good 3 feet tall. My puppy will have a large kennel outside with a top on it. |

| I certainly hope you don't plan on leaving the puppy outside in the Kennel.

| I live in the main part of the city so I don't worry too much but when you get out a few miles into the sub-divisions coyotes are everywhere. You also see hawks of different species flying around. I think the rule of thumb with any small dog is they have to be treated just like a child. Never leave them unattended, not even for a second. When you figure coyotes, hawks even other humans it's a very dangerous place out there for our little guys and gals. Keep em' safe by keeping an eye on them. |

| DH just told me that there is an owl outside. He heard it. No going potty outside tonight.
