| Yup I have it! I think it's great!!! The only downside is that when you go to the vet, you have to bring a form with you to get stamped or signed. Everyone at my vets office says this is the only insurance they've seen have to do this, most have switched over to only needing a copy of the receipt. They're really fast at getting claim money back to you (usually less than a week). If you have any specific questions, just let me know!!

My furkids Donating Member | Thank you! I have been looking at several plans...this one seems to cover what I want... Rubymoon...does trupanion ring a bell? that plan only covers health issues....I am looking for one that covers wellness as well.... Still searching for the best one out there... I checked out ASPCA's plan and much to my surprise...they were the most expensive...which I found odd being that they are ASPCA

| We don't have a pet insurance but do have a pet savings account and a credit card just for unexpected pet medical care. We have found that this works for us... Ask you vet what insurance is best, well not the vet but the office manager since they deal with the insurance.

I am still researching other plans but, this one seemed to be pretty good. The girls at my vets office won't have a problem with this....only thing is...I have 3 little furbutts so it could get costly for me.

I really do like healthy paws, are you sure it covers wellness, I know our plan doesn't and on the website it says Our " does not cover pre-existing conditions, expected routine veterinary care (i.e. wellness) such as vaccinations, teeth cleaning, spay/neuter procedures, or the veterinary exam fee"

| I got pet insurance for Riley the day I brought him home. I had Trupanion. I had a – 0 – Deductible and they reimbursed 90% of covered healthcare expenses, Minus the examination fees and routine preventative care. I forked out $187.50 in a 2-week period for examination fees for some ear infections Riley was having back in May, last year. The insurance started at $32.68/month in July of 2010 and on the 1-year date, it jumped to $43.77/month. I canceled it 2-months ago... Now I just have that $43.77 a month put into a Savings Account, which earns interest, which I have set aside for him. I also add $100.00 a month to that account… and he has his own Mastercard, so we should be okay in the event anything were to happen. |
