| Neuter with Kennel Cough?? I believe Tank's kennel cough has come back...I've been trying to catch it on video but I think he waits until I'm across the apartment from my phone to start doing his little coughs! Lol! He was given meds last month for it, unfortunately I can't remember which meds he was put on right now, but he was on it for 2 weeks and he did get better, but it's been a few weeks that's he's been off the meds and he's started up again, he seems do it at night or first thing in the am (while he's resting). He never has a cough spell while outside running around or anything and is still active so I'm at least hoping he just wasn't given enough medicine to begin with and it's not something more serious...anyway, he is scheduled to be neutered on Tuesday which I'm nervous about to begin, and now that he's got his cough back I'm wondering if I should just cancel it and wait until his cough is gone? I talked to my vet today and she said to give him 1/4 of a child's does of robotussin dm and to update her on Saturday to see if he's any better....I was just hoping for some more opinions about postponing his neutering or not?! Sorry for such a lengthy post!! Thanks for any thoughts/opinions!!

| Thats never happened to Ralph. But i personally being the parinod person i am i would take my dog to the vet and see what they say. If they said he had kennel cough id wait and reschedule it. But thats just me. I hope your baby feels better ASAP!(: |

| Definitely no neuter if there is even a hint of a health problem. Take him to the vet to see what's going on, but cancel the neuter for now.

| Ok thank you so much for verifying that I'm not being an over reacting mommy! Lol! I've been stressing about it all day, the only reason I didn't go to the vet in person is because I am 3 hours away...so I could only call, and she just said to do the robitussin and call her back on Saturday, which I will be home on Saturday so i will be taking him then to get checked out anyway! I have just been stressing about it so I'm glad you all feel the same way, I'm just going to reschedule the neuter when I go there on Saturday!

| No neuter if sick for any reason, and no vaccines when sick, no vaccines at the time of neutering. One vaccine at a time, one month apart, and only after completely healed from any surgery or procedure, or one month in advance of any surgery or procedure.

YT 2000 Club Member | No way would I have him neutered with having kennel cough. My boxer boy has it right now, just took him to the vet today and they put him on cephalexin and hycodan. If your lil one sounds anything like my big one, I wouldn't have ANY procedure done on him till he's over it. Prayers that your lil one is all better soon.

| I agree with the others - talk to your vet first... good luck and I hope he gets better soon!
