| Update: Dudley had surgery After taking the barium x-rays, the vet said whatever the black stuff in his little tummy was had soaked into the barium instead of dissolving it. It was now in the colon where she said he will be able to pass it. We had thought and thought what it could be and I remembered dropping an eyeliner pencil. Dudley is always right with me. He must have found it when it rolled under the bed. I don't know for sure but I bet thats what it was. He will stay overnite on fluids, doing well and if he can eat without throwing up will be able to come home tomorrow. Thank you God my baby is okay. What an expensive eyeliner. wow!!!! lol!! |

| Wow, eyeliner? Was it a full eyeliner pencil? I'm glad you figured out what it was and were able to get him in so quickly.

| It was just a small one. I had used nearly all of it and it was about an inch or so long. Who would have thought he would eat something like that. Dudley never gets into things either is what is surprising. If it had been Kayla, yes, but not him. I'm surprised little miss noisey didn't find it. |

| Called this morning to check on my baby and they said they wanted to keep him until this afternoon. They want to make sure he can eat and drink without throwing up. They said he was awake and alert and looked good. |

| Talked to the vet about 15min. ago and they said I could pick Dudley up about 5:00 but only to bring home for the nite. They did not want him to stay by himself over nite. Have to take him back in the morning. Does that sound like I should be concerned or do you think they just want to be careful and watch him a little longer. I try not to worry, but he is my baby. ugh!! |

| Most vet clinics/offices do not have staff that stay on the premesis overnight....I think they are sending him home so you can watch him overnight, then return him in the am so they can continue their treatment....He is doing fine, or they would have you take him to an emergency clinic overnight.... |

| Glad he made it through surgery and is doing well. I'd just watch him closely tonight for the things they told you to watch for and call the vet should anything show up but likely he'll just be restless and whiney and need mommie close is all that will happen.

| They gave me prescp.food to feed him. One is suppose to stimulate his appetite. They told me to feed him about a tsp. He ate that when we got home and I gave him more just a few min. ago. He acts like he is starving and he cleaned his plate. I gave him more than the tsp. because I thought maybe thats why he was crying, although he hates his crate. He always sleeps with us and has never cried at nite. He still is some gassy. That BLue B. just doesn't agree with them. They all have gas except Tina. I think he just wants me to hold him and rock him, like I do Tina. DH said he wanted to be rocked. Geesh! He thinks he is dying from his surgery. Now all I need is someone else to have to have something done. Dudley's birthday is tomorrow and he has to be at the vets at 8:45. What a way to have to spend your birthday. Its so good to have this little pill home. I hate hate hate it when they are hurt or sick. I want to thank everyone for your prayers. It could have been so much worse and thank God it wasn't. |

| I don't see why he can't sleep with you, if that is what he's used to. It would help him to relax ...

| Sometimes he will jump off the bed to go tee tee or get in his little bed. I'm not worried about him jumping up on anything because he is too little and can't do it. But, he can jump off something if you help him up on it. I just don't want him to pull those stitches out or worse. Right now he is under my robe inbetween my feet. He is staying right with me as if to say, mom your not getting away from me this time. He loves his mama. lol!!! |
