| A diarrhea question-- (poor Keeley) This last 3 nights Keeley has been having really bad diarrhea. He'll get up in the middle of the night to go (and he never gets up to go to the bathroom). two nights ago he went 3 times with in 3 hours. Then durring the day it seems okay, maybe a little soft. We haven't changed his diet at all. But we have changed our schedule. I have started going to school full time. And am gone ALL DAY (8-5) when he is used to having me here. But my hubby has been able to be with him quite a bit, so it isn't like he is left home alone all day. And the day that we did have to leave him, we took him to doggy day care. (where is has boarded a few times and does great). Could this be from the stress of a new routine? Or does it sound like an illness? |

| I dont know my vet says they dont get diahrea from stress. That diahrea means there is something wrong in their digestive system.

| Maybe you could collect stool specs from both day and night and ask your vet to test it..Stress will indeed cause many GI problems but you have to try to weed out what is treatable and what should just be left alone to work itselk thru his gut.. |

| I agree with Rini. My gang really likes their routine and change can be stressful but to rule out that nothing is physical I would take specimans to the vet also.
