| Intro Hey All; My name is Tracy. I have been married to my best friend for almost 22 years and together we have 3 grown children, 2 young girls still at home, and 2 grandchildren. With traveling to out of state family, girl scouts and 4 H for the younger 2 girls, and visiting with our sugar glider friends we stay quite busy. But would to hear about Yorkie get togethers if there are any. Hubby says we have a zoo growing in our home because of the 2 cats (someones gotta take care of those mice), 10 sugar gliders, and 2 dogs including my little Yorkie mix (Dorkie) named Seymoure. Our family has always had BIG dogs (lab, st. bernard, greyhounds) so this is our first experience with a small dog. He has an older sister (greyhound) that he tries to keep up with. Even though she is older (13) and slowing down his little legs just can't seem to go that fast but he looks sooooo cute trying to.I am hoping to get a full Yorkie or a Morkie for my birthday in Aug. I had always assumed that Yorkies are fussy dogs that don't like to get dirty or wet. Maybe it's just my little man but that deffinitely IS NOT the case with him. We live in the country, he has a 1 acre fenced in yard to play in, and sometimes he comes in looking like a with all the leaves and twigs that he brings in on him. And he doesn't seem to notice. He is way less fussy than my greyhound girl. Well, that is me in a nut shell... or is that nut house. Anyway, glad to get to know you all. |

Hi, Tracy...welcome. Wow...10 sugar gliders! Are all your clothes made special with extra pockets! They are so cute, tho! I hope you get your birthday wish. Yorkies are "true terriers" in mentality...the out of doors is certainly appealing to my babies, Brody and Mia. Yorkies are great dogs...many faceted from fru fru to dirt slinging, weed pulling, brush busting and back again and you will love being owned by one! At least as much as being owned by the rest of your zoo! Take care!
