Might time help Hi I have pixie who is nearly ten weeks old we have had her since last Wednesday. She had her first injections yesterday and did very well. She lives going in her Crate during the day as she has her toys and blankets in there too. Night time is another thing tho I move her crate into my bedroom with me but she won't settle or sleep unless she lays with me. I've tried covering the rate up ignoring her etc but she just gets more worked up. Any help would be great thank you

My advice may not be the best, unless it works for you. Mina sleeps between mine and hubby's pillows. She has been in our bed sense night two of her being here. Ya, I caved and let her sleep with us,but it works here at my house. Other than that, hopefully someone will come along with some other ideas.

Greetings. I'm sure you'll get varying responses here. At 10 weeks, she is still pretty young and wants to be with you. If you decide she needs to sleep in the crate, then that's what you need to do. It will take an adjustment for her to understand. If you let her sleep with you once, she'll want that from now on. That's not a bad thing mind you, but you have to want that. It's a matter of time for her to adjust to what you want.

How many hours is she in the crate during the day? It would be hard for a puppy that has slept all day to settle down at night. Maybe try to give her some exercise to tire her out? I have always flunked out on crate training so I guess I don't have any other advise.

Get another Yorkie...my two sleep snuggled up together in the same crate or bed or pillow depending on what room we are in.

Getting another Yorkie was the best thing I ever did....they love each other so much and are a great comfort to one another. I would love to get a third but I am so afraid of messing up their beautiful relationship.
