| What the heck is with parti and teacup yorkies! As a breeder it bothers me that people breed sick dogs and sell them for thousands. Talk about a scam. What do you guys think? |

| I don't agree with breeding for tinies and have been told that parti yorkies is a fault but not sure I would call them sick???? There are a lot of very healty tinies and parti's.

| The different coloring means they have health problems. |

| No it means there is a "fault" in the line they were bred from not that they are sick.

| I second this. Parti yorkies are not sick. They have been around for hundreds of years - but mostly kept quiet due to the AKC yorkie standard. Please read up on parti colored yorkies before making erroneous statements.

| Different coloring does not mean health problems. I believe that only 'blues' are known to have health problems.

| There are also many threads of people owning Parti yorkies on YT that are perfectly healthy. I myself have standard yorkies (pets) I am neither a breeder or do I show my babies but I love the breed. That being said I can honestly say that I have seen some very beautiful healthy parti's.

| BTW, I agree with you about the pricing issue. The tinies should not be bred on purpose, and should be very carefully placed as a special needs pet. And I also believe (just my opinion, I know others will disagree when it comes to coloring) that faults shouldn't be bred into a dog on purpose, only to claim that makes the dog rare and then worth more money. Faults that disqualify a dog from the conformation ring make a dog "pet quality" and they should only command a pet price.
