| Need some input within the hour Posted about Sunny grooming experience in the Groomers thread thursday...thought i would get faster replies here for today... The Groomer said to bring her back today and she would work with her, my question is...since she had a stressful experience Thursday, is it too soon to bring her back to the Groomers this morning, Saturday? Or should I wait a couple more days....she is allowing my to brush her face with treats in my hand...she just needs her face groomed a bit...ears trimmed up and toenails clipped. Bobbi

Donating YT 500 Club Member | If it were me, I would wait and continue with re-introducing Sunny to grooming at home before I would take her to any groomer. Even if it takes weeks to get her completely comfortable with the process again, I wouldn't want to chance further traumatizing her. She may looks a little scruffy for now, but it's more important she become okay with grooming than it is she look beautiful

I didn't read your thread but, going to assume it wasn't a good experience at the groomers.. Sadie just stands there and lets me clip her, Lillie will let me clip her but, if I hit a little "snag" it's all over....she gets very stressed out ...I put her down, let her run around a bit then pick her back up and start again. Sometimes I wait until the next day to finish...I CAN NOT get near their faces with the clippers...I scissor cut them...and what I can't do with the clippers, (under side) I do with the scissors. I would think she should be fine going back today...is she just a puppy? some dogs never get used to the sound of the clippers...especially around the face. Good Luck!

| I pushed her appointment back.....not sure if getting back on the horse so to speak, is the right thing..i will work with her at home for a bit and try it again.it is just her face that needs to be groomed, the rest of her is in a very close puppy cut, so its not like she is going to be a complete hot mess when she goes back to the groomers. Thanks for the input guys! Bobbi
