| Entertaining your Yorkie Hey everyone, Thinking outside the box on toys. Just sharing a thing I do with my KimMee. I bought a pair of baby house shoes ( they look like elephants) and put cheerios or the Kong tots in one. Keeps her busy for a good 10 minutes. Anyone have some good ideas about entertaining their Yorkie? |

| Your "new" toy sounds adorable. I don't have anything "special" home made for Schatzie except a knee high panty hose w a ball inside. She swings it everywhich way but loose, LOL.

| hey, that is a great idea- sounds like fun. I have let mine play with a pair of knee highs tied in a knot. She loves to pull and tug with it. |

| Omg! I love the panty hose/ball idea! Thanks! Wosie's pretty good about entertaining herself, but we do play a lot together. Her favorite game by far is fetch, and she would go on for hours if I did not get tired, lol. I also try to make training a game (come, sit, stay, etc) by using a happy voice and treats. That keeps her entertained as well. I am about to buy one of those Cy-purr electronic mouse toys (amazon), and I am betting that will keep her very entertained indeed! You need to see Villette's video of her girls with the mouse, it's sooooo funny!

| I just like to fill their water dish up with lots of ice cubes!!! They try to get them out, one by one! And that usually takes a good 20 mins!! Then Luigi likes to toss them around and Brasco tries to steal them. Then I put all the ice cubes back in the bowl, and starts over again!!!! Its sooo funny and keeps them occopied for almost an hour--til they start to melt!!!!

| This is a great thread! I like the idea of the Kong (or other toy) wrapped up in hose to make it last longer. I'll probably steal the ice hockey idea as well! Thanks for sharing. I'm afraid I'm not creative like you guys are. We just play with store-bought toys and food dispensers that he has to manipulate to get his food (I highly recommend these). |

| Sadie is 3. I have had her for 8 mos. She never plays with toys. I got her a Kong and filled it with treats, including peanut butter, and she never touched it. Does anyone else have an adult Yorkie that does not play with toys? She is very happy, and well adjusted, but has no interest in toys. Kate Quote:
