| Service and therapy dogs.. just seen on TV The 700 club is on TV right now and they had a piece on service and therapy dogs on there. There was a Yorkie therapy dog shown on there and an elderly lady in a nursing home was holding her in her arms and saying what a good dog she was... said she didn't think she ever barked the little dog was cute as can be and was wearing a pretty red bow in her hair I thought it was kind of neat that it just happen to come on the TV since I've started paisley in her obedience classes with the goal of getting her certified as a therapy dog!

| I saw a yorkie in a Dennys restaurant that was a service or therapy dog for an elderly women. She was cute and so good while she was there

| I wish I had seen that. I'll look & see if it'll be on again so I can record it. If it's a Yorkie on there, it can't help but be cute! It's so neat how once you're drawn to something it's like layed out before you & every time you turn around... very cool.

| Hey, I saw it! Nice piece. The Yorkie was awfully sweet. Just think, you'll be doing that before you know it.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I wish I'd seen it too! Both of my Yorkies are certified therapy dogs with the Delta Society, and I've never met a patient or senior home resident who didn't love them!

| Karen - I'm glad you got to see it! It wasn't a very long clip but still interesting. I liked the part about the service dogs too. That is so neat how that guy looks for dogs needing homes and trains them to be service dogs... it's a win - win siuation both for the dog and the person needing the dog. AlaskaYorkie - That's awesome that both of your dogs are certified to do therapy work!
