I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Can't answer about dogs, but human hair get very luxurious (grows faster and thicker) during pregnancy and after delivery, it thins out, finally going back to normal. It has to do with hormones, but I would imagine that dogs go through some changes as well. Is something happening with your dogs? They shouldn't be losing too much hair.

| Yorkies usually don't blow coat after having pups as in other breeds. However, I have a girl that was allergic to the amiotic fluids and would lose her coat on her hind quarters and if I wasn't on top of it, it would develop into a staph infection.

| No she isn't losing her hair. But had pups & was spayed just before I got her. Just wondered. I know poms blow their coats. Her hair does lay a little flatter on her shoulders than on her rump area. But I figured it may have been cut shorter to be out of the way in delivery. Too she had a c section.
